Identified as a child prodigy and at age 6 she attended the Special Music School in Lvov, Ukraine. Upon graduation she continued at the prestigious Music College of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and on completion of studies there, entered the famed Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow from which she graduated with a Doctor of Music in performance, pedagogy and composition. She moved on to further her studies in Germany, France and the Czech Republic, and continued her pursuit of excellence in Canada, attending the Banff School of Fine Arts to which she had received a scholarship.
She has won First Prize in both the Czech National Piano Competition and the Smetana International Piano Competition, and has won numerous other scholarships and awards enabling her to study abroad.
She has performed as a soloist in more than 50 countries worldwide, and
appeared as guest artist with such world-renowned orchestras as the Berliner Simphony-Orchester, Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Russian State Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta Nacional de Espana, Swedish National Orchestra, Presidential Symphony Orchestra (Turkey), WKO (Vienna), and many more. She also has many recordings to her credit both here and in Europe.
She has been included in MacLean’s Magazine issue entitled ‘The Brain Gain’, and in ‘One of The 2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 20th Century’, England. She has been awarded ‘The World Order, Science-Education-Culture’, Belgium, and the Order of New Brunswick, 2003.
Among her own numerous compositions are ‘St. Andrews Anthology’ (symphony); ‘Tabula Rasa’ (double concerto), and Opera Traversées.
