The Fredericton Music Society is to be congratulated for the stunning success in launching world-class concert pianist, Ludmila Knezkova, whose performance of a boldly unconventional program brought cheers and a standing ovation both at intermission and conclusion of her concert.
..... absolutely dazzling, with musical and technical gifts out of the ordinary.
Ms. Knezkova-Hussey dazzled the audience with her considerable skill. A marvelous technician, the Russian trained pianist impressed with clean and diverse articulations rendered at vigorous tempos.
Ludmila's performance was breathtakingly beautiful. She allowed us a glimpse into the world of Chopin, Mendelssohn and Schumann through her interpretation marked by deep feeling and expert precision.
Saturday evening's performance was so powerful and emotional that it actually moved some audience members to tears. That's not surprising. After all, this same music once had monarchs and czars reaching for their handkerchiefs. Even though there were no crowned heads in Saturday evening's audience, Ms Knezkova-Hussey gave a performance fit for a king.
"... Knezkova-Hussey did not accept the word "no", but always "pushed the envelope" to reach the highest pinnacle of achievement. Whether it is in organizing a piano competition, teaching, or in her concert career and recording she will always strive for excellence."
"What an extraordinary musician, with purely technical delights and a stunning master of color".
"... rare sensitivity ... an authentic interpreter of the ideas of the great creators"

"... I particularly wish to draw attention to the hard work of Mrs. Ludmila Knezkova-Hussey, who has given Bathurst an important heritage. I give her my most sincere thanks."
"No one in Bathurst ... need doubt the future of classical music in this province [of NB]. The Montreal Symphony Orchestra, appearing for the first time in Atlantic Canada, together with a superbly gifted set of prize winners, attracted an audience which nearly filled the 3,000 - seat K. C. Irving Centre."
