The 8th Ludmila Knezkova-Hussey International Piano Competition and Festival

This competition offers extraordinary experiences to all who take part.  These include the opportunity to perform for a distinguished musical audience; to listen to other young artists; to discuss performances with jurors after the competition, and for those who go forward to the later stages, to perform a concerto with one of the best symphony orchestras in the world, such as the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra (WKO), Austria.  The competition orchestra for 2010 is a symphony orchestra as yet unnamed.  This competition takes place every two years during the month of June

THE LUDMILA KNEZKOVA-HUSSEY INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION AND FESTIVAL was conceived by world-renowned pianist Ludmila Knezkova-Hussey.  Her objective is to provide an opportunity for gifted piano students to come together in a challenging piano competition.  This “striving for excellence” should result in a further enhancement of their level of achievement.
